The Electrical Contractors' Association

The Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) has over 2,000 member firms that carry out the greater part of all the recorded electrical installation work in the UK.

It is one of the principal aims of the ECA that electrical installation work should be carried out by competent firms to high standards of quality and safety.

Thus ECA has welcomed the introduction of Part P, and has worked with BRE Certification and IEE to develop the Part P Competent Person Scheme that is offered via this site.

ECA (www.eca.co.uk) provides guidance concerning both Part P itself and the requirements of the Part P Competent Person Scheme. In addition, information and advice are provided concerning the qualification requirements of, and training provision for, individuals who work for Competent Persons.
